TMCS1101-Q1

The TMCS1101-Q1 is a high-precision, low-power analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed for automotive and industrial applications. It features a 16-bit sigma-delta ADC architecture with integrated digital filtering and calibration, enabling accurate measurement of small differential voltages across a wide input range. The device supports up to 480 samples per second (SPS), making it suitable for precision sensing tasks such as current monitoring, temperature measurement, and pressure sensing. This ADC includes an on-chip programmable gain amplifier (PGA) that allows flexible signal conditioning without external components, reducing system complexity and cost. Its input multiplexer supports multiple channels, enabling simultaneous monitoring of several sensor signals within a single IC. The TMCS1101-Q1 also incorporates advanced self-calibration and offset correction mechanisms to maintain long-term accuracy and stability under varying environmental conditions. Designed for robust operation in harsh environments, the device complies with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification, ensuring reliability in automotive systems operating from -40°C to +125°C. It operates on a supply voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V, compatible with standard logic levels, and consumes less than 1.5 mW in active mode, contributing to energy-efficient designs. Communication with the TMCS1101-Q1 is achieved via a standard SPI-compatible serial interface, allowing fast and reliable data transfer between the ADC and microcontrollers or processors. The device supports both master and slave modes, enhancing integration flexibility in multi-sensor systems. Additionally, built-in diagnostic features—including internal self-test, power-on reset, and fault detection—improve system safety and reduce maintenance requirements. Common applications include electric vehicle battery management systems, motor control, fuel cell monitoring, and industrial process control. Its high resolution, low noise, and integrated functionality make it ideal for precision measurement scenarios where accuracy, reliability, and minimal external component count are critical. The TMCS1101-Q1 is packaged in a compact 8-pin SOIC form factor, facilitating space-constrained designs while maintaining excellent thermal and mechanical performance.
