OPA991-Q1
The OPA991-Q1 is a high-precision, low-noise operational amplifier manufactured by Texas Instruments, designed for demanding automotive and industrial applications. It features a wide supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, enabling flexible integration into systems with varying power requirements. The device offers a very low input offset voltage of 30 µV (max) and an ultra-low noise density of 4.5 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz, making it ideal for precision signal conditioning in sensor interfaces and measurement circuits.
This amplifier operates with exceptional stability, maintaining a gain bandwidth product of 10 MHz and a slew rate of 6 V/µs, ensuring accurate response to dynamic signals. Its rail-to-rail output stage provides maximum output swing across the entire supply range, enhancing signal fidelity in low-voltage systems. The OPA991-Q1 also includes internal frequency compensation, eliminating the need for external components and simplifying circuit design while maintaining robust performance under various load conditions.
Designed for harsh environments, the OPA991-Q1 meets AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification standards, ensuring reliability in automotive applications such as ADAS sensors, battery management systems, and infotainment modules. It supports extended temperature operation from –40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for both engine compartment and cabin electronics where thermal stress is common.
In addition to its robust electrical performance, the OPA991-Q1 delivers excellent DC accuracy, with a typical input bias current of 3 pA and a drift of only 0.1 µV/°C. These characteristics are essential for high-resolution analog front-ends in medical instrumentation, industrial process control, and data acquisition systems. The device is available in a compact SOT-583 (SOIC) package, optimizing board space while providing reliable thermal and mechanical performance.
The OPA991-Q1 is particularly well-suited for applications requiring minimal distortion and high linearity, such as current sensing, filter stages, and transimpedance amplification. Its low quiescent current of 1.3 mA per channel allows efficient use in battery-powered devices without compromising performance. With integrated protection features like ESD tolerance and short-circuit protection, the amplifier ensures long-term durability even in unpredictable operating conditions.
