TSV7721
The TSV7721 is a low-power, single-channel operational amplifier manufactured by STMicroelectronics, designed for high-performance analog signal conditioning in space-constrained applications. It operates from a single supply voltage ranging from 1.8 V to 5.5 V, making it suitable for battery-powered and portable devices where power efficiency is critical. The device features a wide gain-bandwidth product of 1.3 MHz, enabling stable operation across a broad range of frequencies while maintaining low distortion.
This op-amp offers rail-to-rail input and output swing, allowing maximum signal utilization within the supply rails, which enhances dynamic range and reduces the need for additional biasing circuits. Its low quiescent current—typically 60 µA per channel—makes it ideal for ultra-low-power systems such as wearable electronics, IoT sensors, and remote monitoring equipment. The TSV7721 also provides excellent DC precision, with a typical input offset voltage of 1 mV and a very low input bias current of 5 pA, ensuring accurate amplification of small signals without introducing significant errors.
In terms of robustness, the TSV7721 includes built-in ESD protection and is fully specified over an industrial temperature range from –40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for harsh environments. It is available in a compact SOT23-5 package, minimizing PCB footprint while offering ease of integration into densely populated designs. The device supports both inverting and non-inverting configurations, providing flexibility in circuit design for applications such as sensor interfacing, filter implementation, and active RC networks.
Common applications include medical instrumentation, industrial process control, consumer electronics, and automotive systems where reliable analog signal processing is required under stringent power constraints. Its combination of low power, high accuracy, and small form factor makes it a preferred choice for designers seeking efficient and cost-effective solutions in modern electronic systems.
