전기 이중층 커패시터 및 슈퍼커패시터는 물리적 크기 및 낮은 전압 정격과 관련하여 매우 높은 정전용량 값을 제공하는 전해(분극) 커패시터의 한 종류입니다. 개별 장치의 정격은 최대 몇 볼트이지만, 더 높은 전압 정격을 달성하기 위해 수많은 직렬 연결 장치를 통합한 제품을 사용할 수 있습니다. 일반적으로 다른 전해 커패시터의 표준에 따르면 손실이 높지만 전기화학 전지에 비해 낮은 손실을 나타내기 때문에 높은 사이클 수 또는 전력 밀도가 필요한 응용 분야에서 후자의 대안으로 자주 사용됩니다.
